Koygorodsky National Park (Национальный парк «Койгородский») protects one of the largest expanses of virgin southern taiga in Europe. Located on the eastern edge of the East European Plain in Russia's Komi Republic, it harbors exceptional biodiversity within its mature spruce and old-growth aspen forests.
Established in 2019 across the Koygorodsky and Priluzsky districts (900 km northeast of Moscow), the park is an active center for ecological research and flora-fauna inventory efforts.
